WAYS TO PROGRESS RESISTANCE TRAINING?

Random workouts = random results, which is why it’s important to identify a method of progression when designing training programs. The principle of progressive overload tells us that we can’t keep doing the same thing over and over if we want results—we have to adjust program design variables to add new challenges and drive adaptation. ‘Progression is key because it builds an athletes confidence in their abilities and allows the athlete to measure improvements over time’.
